About Me

Videographer, Photographer, Filmmaker, Storyteller.

My name is Jacob Fort I am 21 years old.

I live in the south of France in the Hautes Pyrenees.

Last year I attained my cinematography qualification in audiovisual (option image) which I studied for two years in Paris.

During this two year study period, my school allowed us to do two internships of a total duration of ten weeks. I was very fortunate to have been able to do both internships with two film directors well known in France, for their work in wildlife documentaries.

During my studies I also worked on many projects with the latest generation of cameras and lighting.

In post production I worked with software such as ; DaVinci resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom which I am now very familiar with.

I was born in Norwich, in the East of England; my family moved to the Hautes-Pyrenees, France when I was just one, so I am bilingual (English & French)

I have been involved in photography and filming since I was fourteen years old, initially inspired by the abundance of breathtaking scenery and wildlife, here in the French Pyrenees.

This regular exposure to the outside world has left me in no doubt that it is important for everyone to learn to appreciate, what we all tend to take for granted.

Being a photographer and videographer has enabled me to become more curious, about this force called nature. But equally over time, I am fortunate to have been enlightened by concerns, that this living, breathing, beautiful planet is under threat. Threatening even us as ‘human beings’ in the same way that beautiful creatures in this world have, and are still disappearing.

My ultimate dream is to enhance this awareness, make people know that our planet being a reciprocal earth, dependent on everyone and everything to survive, needs to be engrained into all societies from an early age. Using film I hope to influence changes in attitudes and life styles. Able to speak English equally as French, I can capture a wide audience.
